NASCAR hire: NASCAR, which in November opened a Los Angeles office with the focus being on broadcasting and new media, today announced that Jeffrey Pollack – the founder and first publisher of The Sports Business Daily – has joined the sanctioning body as managing director of new media. In his new role with NASCAR, Pollack will provide day-to-day management of NASCAR’s new media business initiatives and business development for new technologies and interactive opportunities as well as NASCAR.com.
