Rudd Feeling Fine: Ricky Rudd says he feels 100%, however is following doctors orders to stay off the racetrack as much as he can before the season gets cranked up and hopefully he’ll never have a recurrence of that injury. Rudd is giving his back time to heal so he can be back in the car for Daytona. The Havoline Taurus driver says he has only a half-inch scar where doctors made a small incision to insert fiber-optics to repair the damage. Rudd says he walked into the hospital hurting and four hours later he walked out not hurting, other than some muscle tightness…and that “I actually could have gotten in a race car that afternoon if he had to…I felt that good…much, much better”.(PRN’s Garage Pass)(1-17-2002)
