AND on CNN/SI’s NASCAR Plus, Benny Parsons and Marty Snyder both mentioned that Haas Carter Motorsports still has 25 people working and that they would not be surprised to see them field a car at Texas with a different driver.(4-2-2002) UPDATE: Three-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel will drive the #26 Haas Carter Motorsports entry at Texas. Kimmel is bringing his ARCA sponsors — Advance Auto Parts and Pork, the Other White Meat — to the team, which ceased operations last week as it attempted to search for sponsorship following Kmart’s filing for bankruptcy. “The crew will be made up of some of Travis Carter’s and some of our own,” Kimmel reported on his Web site. “There could be more races in the future.” (Daytona Beach News Journal). #26 Crew Chief, Donnie Wingo will call the shots on raceday.(4-3-2002)
