Jay in for Johnny:

Jay Sauter will replace his younger brother, Johnny, in the #2 ACDelco Chevy in Saturday’s Carquest 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The decision was made by Richard Childress Racing officials following a team meeting Saturday morning. Health concerns were cited as reasoning for the change, as the younger Sauter took two hard hits in back-to-back races at Talladega Superspeedway and California Speedway. Jay Sauter, currently driving the #21 Rockwell Chevy at RCR on a part time basis, has four starts during the 2002 Busch Series campaign, with his best finish, seventh, coming at Nazareth Speedway last Sunday. Jay Sauter practiced the No. 2 Chevy in Happy Hour Friday.(NASCAR.com)(5-25-2002)
