Driver to attempt to make Cup debut: Recent NASCAR Winston West Winner Brandon Ash will be making his Winston Cup debut this weekend at Sears Point Raceway in a Ford Taurus previously owned by Robert Yates which was fourth last June with Ricky Rudd behind the wheel. The new team ,”Track Access”, will attempt to run both Sears Point and Phoenix Cup races as the #46 for new team owners Jon Perroton and Scott Yeaman. Long-time engine builder and “Dad” ,Ed Ash, will fill the duties of car chief while Joey Knuckles steps into the crew chief position. Tom Label of Auto Marine Engineering is team manager. Primary team sponsorship is yet to be finalized but associate sponsorship will come from Brandon’s Winston West team in the form of SAS, Fuji Film and Little Tree.(PR)(6-19-2002)
