Following a three-year absence, the O’Reilly 200 presented by Valvoline MaxLife, set for Wednesday, August 20, 2003, will mark the return of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway. Fan demand for the highly competitive truck racing helped fuel the series return. The O’Reilly 200 will be part of a Wednesday night doubleheader, which also will feature the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series. O’Reilly Auto Parts, the official automotive parts supplier of Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway, joins the family of Bristol race sponsors and will back the truck event. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series last visited BMS in June 1999, when Jack Sprague won the 200-lap event en route to his second series title. In addition to Sprague, BMS truck race winners include Joe Ruttman (’95), Rick Carelli (’96) and Ron Hornaday (’97, ’98). All tickets for the O’Reilly 200 presented by Valvoline MaxLife will be general admission and will cost $25. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased by calling 423/764-1161 or by visiting www.bristoltix.com.(BMS PR)(11-13-2002)
