#21-Jeff Green won the pole for the Ford 300 with a speed of 152.031mph He will be followed by #40-Brian Vickers(151.882), #25-Bobby Hamilton, Jr.(151.801), #66-Casey Mears(151.532), and #87-Joe Nemechek(151.193). #92-Todd Bodine qualified 30th at 149.003 but crashed on his 2nd lap and will have to go to a backup and to the rear of the field at the start of the race. #47-Shane Hmiel’s speed was disallowed because of an unapproved spring and he was forced to use a provisional to make the race.
