UPDATE: LaJoie, a two-time Busch champion, will meet a couple of strangers this morning who will be his critical over-the-wall tire changers. “We just fired four guys this week, two of them tire-changers,” LaJoie said. “They (Evans Motorsports) said everything will be good. I’ll find out tomorrow. I have no idea who they are or how they’re getting here.” LaJoie, who scored the first of his 15 career victories here in 1996, said a company called PIT Instruction Training is providing the new personnel.(Express Times)(5-18-2003)
