Roush Racing announced today that rookie Carl Edwards will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to compete for the championship in 2004. Superchips will also return as the primary sponsor of the #99 Ford F-150 for the 2004 season. With one race to go in his rookie season, Edwards has already won three races, one pole and earned 13 top-five finishes. He is eighth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point standings, and will also officially win the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year title this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Superchips became the primary sponsor of Edwards truck in late August, and is looking forward to continuing the relationship with the team. Based in Sanford, Fla., Superchips, Inc. was one of the first companies specializing in the tuning of computer-controlled vehicles for more power.
