Miller scores win for Victory Junction:

L.W. Miller, a part-time racer in the Truck Series and the current S.M.A.R.T. Modified point leader, won Friday’s 150-lap feature event at Caraway Speedway and donated the winnings – $1,825 – to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. “We’ve had a good season,” said Miller, who is the defending series champion. “But, with only two wins and needed something to get us fired up again. We decided to donate whatever we won on Friday night to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. It got us going and I’m very happy that we ended up in victory lane.” Miller started ninth in the feature and used patience, saving his tires, to march to the win. In scoring the victory, Miller also secured a guaranteed starting spot in the very lucrative North South Shootout that will take place later this season at Concord Motorsport Park. The S.M.A.R.T. Modified have a hiatus until Labor Day weekend when the schedule picks up with a pair of races. From that point on, the schedule gets real busy with racing every week.(Catchfence)(7-5-2004)
