Kerry Earnhardt to drive the #99 at Daytona:

Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership (Aaron’s) of Atlanta, GA, the primary sponsor of the Michael Waltrip Racing, Inc (MWR) NASCAR Busch Series #99 Aaron’s Dream Machine, has announced a driver change for the Winn-Dixie 250 at the Daytona International Speedway. Kerry Earnhardt will take Michael Waltrip’s seat behind the wheel of the NASCAR Busch Series #99 Dream Machine. The Busch race will mark Earnhardt’s second start of the season in the 2005 Busch Series. Earnhardt has a history with Aaron’s and MWR. He ran three races in the #99 Aaron’s Dream Machine at Kentucky, Pikes Peak and Michigan during the 2001 season. More recently, Earnhardt drove the #98 MWR Bryan Foods car in the Aaron’s 312 Busch race at Talladega Superspeedway this past spring. Earnhardt started 34th and finished fifth. His impressive run opened the door for this opportunity at Daytona International Speedway. “I think it’s great having Kerry back in the Dream Machine.” Said Ken Butler, President of Aaron’s Sales & Lease Ownership. “He did an excellent job at Talladega earlier this year and since Aaron’s is in the business of making dreams come true, Michael and I want to give Kerry the opportunity to make his dream of racing at the top levels of NASCAR happen.”(Aaron’s PR)(6-15-2005)
