Front Row Joe wins Pole at MIS:

“Front Row” #01-Joe Nemechek won the pole for the GFS Marketplace 400 at the Michigan International Speedway with a speed of 191.530mph for his first pole of 2005 and 8th of his career, putting him into the 2006 Budweiser Shootout. #24-Jeff Gordon starts on the out pole, followed by #9-Kasey Kahne, #5-Kyle Busch and #12-Ryan Newman. Points leader #20-Tony Strewart starts 36th. Missing the race were #34-P.J. Jones, #80-Carl Long, #92-Eric McClure, #89-Morgan Shepherd, #79-Bryan Reffner. Two drivers [I know of] will start at the rear of the field before the start of the race, #2-Rusty Wallace due to a transmission change and #48-Jimmie Johnsin due to changing an engine.
