Kauffman to Run Daytona ARCA as a Test: UPDATE:

Joel Kauffman, driver of the #12 SuperCuts Dodge for FitzBradshaw Racing, will forgo testing this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Earlier this month, NASCAR officials informed FitzBradshaw Racing that Kauffman would have to run the ARCA Re/Max race at Daytona in February in order to get approval for superspeedway racing. The Rookie-of-the-Year candidate will also use the ARCA race as his test. (FBR PR)(1-19-2006)
UPDATE: Foregoing the original plans for Raybestos Rookie of the Year candidate Joel Kauffman to run the ARCA Re/MAX Series event in Daytona, a collective decision was made to kick off the 2006 Busch Series season in the Stater Bros. 300 in Fontana. David Reutimann will take the controls of the Supercuts Dodge in the Hershey’s Kissables 300 at Daytona. He regularly drives for Darrell Waltrip’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team. This year, Michael Waltrip Racing has formed an alliance with FitzBradshaw in the Busch Series. Reutimann is slated to drive several Busch races for Michael Waltrip Racing later in the season.(FBR PR)(2-13-06)
