New spotter Danny Culler joins the Alltel/Mobil 1 team this weekend. Culler, a long-time spotter in the sport, has worked with several NASCAR Cup drivers, including Dale Earnhardt [Culler was the spotter for Brian Vickers in 2005]. The #12 Dodge features the Mobil 1 paint scheme this weekend. Newman’s latest victory, at New Hampshire International Speedway in September was in a Mobil 1 car. Newman will race chassis PRS-20 in the Auto Club 500 on Sunday. PRS-20 last raced in the 2005 finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway where it finished seventh.
