So much for Ricky Carmichael not being competitive by racing a partial Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series schedule. Ginn Racing development driver, Ricky Carmichael returned from a one-race layoff to end James “Bubba” Stewart’s season-opening winning streak at three with a victory at San Francisco’s AT&T Park on Saturday. “I’m happy to win again in San Francisco, and the next time you’ll see me is at Atlanta.” That gives Carmichael a month to focus on what he hopes will be a budding stock car career. He’s expected to attend next month’s Daytona 500 before making his 2007 Late Model debut with Ginn Racing in Lake City, Fla., on March 24.
