NSSN hooks up with CARA:

National Speed Sport News has chosen to link with CARA Charities for its 2007 charity initiative program. This benevolent program is new to NSSN as of this year, but NSSN’s relationship with CARA has been longstanding. While most charity programs rely solely on monetary contributions or auctions to raise funds, NSSN will be combining both. NSSN has teamed up with GoMotorBids.com to maintain an exclusive online charity auction starting July 12 and running until Dec. 16. The auction’s central item will be a racing helmet, autographed by multiple motorsports personalities, such as Chris Economaki, Richard Petty, David Gilliland, Jeff Green and many more. In addition to the helmet, National Speed Sport News will furnish several items throughout the year designated for the auction. NSSN will also accept monetary donations at any of its 2007 Grassroots Tour events. With every donation, fans will receive a CARA Charities checkered-flag armband. Fans will also have the chance to observe the helmet at these events. CARA Charities supports many worthy causes, including children’s hospitals, scholarships, research groups, injured drivers, the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and CARA’s “Buckle Up Baby” children’s car-seat program. The “Buckle Up Baby” program has impacted the safety of thousands of children with monetary donations, as well as infant car seats, to children’s hospitals around the country. National Speed Sport News has not only been providing race coverage that is timely, accurate and colorful but also contributions towards the betterment of the community since 1934. NSSN has become the voice of motorsports, covering every series, every track, every week. For more information on NSSN, CARA Charities or the auction, please visit www.nationalspeedsportnews.com.
