In preparation for the Kobalt Tools 500 weekend on March 7-9 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bobby Labonte and Ron Hornaday, Jr. will be tire testing for Goodyear at the 1.54-mile track on December 11-12 for the Sprint Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series respectively. The session is closed to the public both days.(AMS PR)(12-8-2007) UPDATE: On an unseasonably warm day at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bobby Labonte and Ron Hornaday Jr. hit the pavement testing tires for Goodyear. Hornaday Jr. tested his fully-decaled #2 Camping World Chevy, turning a fast lap of 178.723 mph (31.02 seconds). Labonte ran a gray primer car around Atlanta Motor Speedway’s high banks, recording a fast lap of 184.470 mph (30.09 seconds). The test gave Labonte and new crew chief Jeff Meendering the opportunity to work together for the first time. Testing continues tomorrow with Labonte and Hornaday Jr. scheduled to participate in another eight hour test.(AMS PR)(12-12-2007)
