R3 Motorsports has added veteran engineer and crew chief Walter Giles to their #23 Chevy team. Giles will begin his crew chief duties immediately with Robert Richardson, Jr. in the car at Darlington Raceway this weekend. Giles, a native of Australia, comes from Dale Earnhardt, Inc., where he was the Head of Race Engineering, and Robby Gordon Motorsports, where he was the engineer and crew chief. Prior to his coming on board with R3 Motorsports, Giles was helping Tommy Baldwin Racing on an interim basis.(R3 Motorsports PR)(5-6-2009)
