Don’t let Stanton Barrett’s absence from the IndyCar Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway fool you. He jumped into IndyCar with both feet in 2009 and plans to stay. Barrett wanted to start his fifth race of the season in the No. 98 Team 3G car this weekend. But, due to a lack of complete funding, the team turned to other drivers with sponsors for Homestead and other 2009 events that Barrett did not compete in. He is now looking ahead to the 2010 season, when he plans to be back in the IndyCar Series. “Right now, I’m working to see which races I can run next year,” Barrett said. “I had a blast in the races I ran this year and I learned a lot. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel again and with as competitive equipment as possible.”(Breaking Limits PR)(10-7-2009)
