per Eric McClure’s facebook page – “A little unexpected (minor) surgery in the AM..status in question for road america”. McClure drives the #24 Chevy for Ed Rensi. No word who the team would use as a driver if McClure is unable to race at Road America.(6-15-2010)
UPDATE: Eric McClure had a minor tear in a muscle that had been a previous issue. The procedure went well today and he has been cleared to race. The plan is for McClure to at least start the race with the hopes of remaining in the car through the duration. If he is unable to go the distance, Chris Cook will be on stand by.(6-15-2010)
UPDATE: According to a team representative, Chirs Cook will take over the #24 Hefty Ford for Eric McClure during the first caution at Road America on Saturday.(6-18-2010)
