When Kenny Fullman was 12 years old, his father was shot and killed while trying to break up a gang fight on Chicago’s Southside. That tragic incident spawned Kenny into becoming what he is today, a full-time Police Officer in Chicago to help rid the streets of gang violence. In his spare time, Fullman is also the head baseball coach at the Harlan Academy and head coach of one of Chicago’s amateur baseball teams called Amateur City Elite, an inner city high school baseball program designed to mentor young people to help keep them off the streets and help them prepare for college. For putting himself on the line as a Police Officer to help protect and serve the people of Chicago and for his community service efforts through the Amateur City Elite, Fullman has been named the ‘ExtenZe Local Hero’ and will serve as Honorary Crew Chief for NASCAR’s leading Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year driver Kevin Conway and his ExtenZe racing team for this weekend’s NASCAR events at Chicagoland Speedway.
