Four drivers have raced their way into the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup with their performance in the final race of the regular season. One of those four is Ryan Newman, who sits 13th going into Saturday night’s regular-season finale at Richmond. But unlike in 2005 when he was one point back going into Richmond, he finds himself 117 points behind 12th-place Clint Bowyer. And as the chart shows, the record for biggest rally is 55 points.
