Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower will unveil a special tribute to NASCAR seven-time champion Dale Earnhardt on December 4, 2010 as it opens a special display to showcase the #1 of 10 limited edition 2010 Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Camaros. This one-of-a-kind head turning Tri-Coat Candy Apple Red and Black Camaro was first seen on Dale Earnhardt Day at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. on April 29, 2010 and # 1 is the only car that is autographed by Teresa Earnhardt, Taylor Earnhardt, Kerry Earnhardt, as well as Richard Childress and Chocolate Myers.
The Dale Earnhardt showcase, to be located on the casino floor, will also include an exhibit that will display artifacts that once belonged to Dale Earnhardt including a Winston Cup Jacket, autographed champagne bottle from Dale’s Winston 500 win, Gargoyle Sunglasses, racing gloves, custom racing shoes and other unique items that will be on loan from Teresa Earnhardt for the fans to enjoy exclusively at Stratosphere through April 29, 2011. Also included in the exhibit is a special edition Gibson guitar designed by Sam Bass that features the King of Rock n’ Roll Elvis Presley and the Intimidator Dale Earnhardt and has been autographed by both Teresa Earnhardt & Priscilla Presley. This guitar was previously on display in Graceland.
The display is set to be unveiled on December 4 at 2:00 p.m. as Kerry Earnhardt eldest son of the racing legend assists the Stratosphere in opening the free exhibit to the public and is located adjacent to Roxy’s Diner on the Casino floor. There will be special announcements made by the casino executives regarding ongoing partnerships between the Stratosphere and the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.
