FAS Lane Racing announced that US Chrome will sponsor the #32 Ford this weekend in Dover. US Chrome sponsored FAS Lane Racing in the Daytona 500 with Terry Labonte, where they cruised to a 15th-place finish in the season opener. US Chrome has recently landed a contract for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter components where they will implement a “green” alternative to chrome plating. “We’re doing pretty well with this new coating,” said Bob Reath, owner of U.S. Chrome. “We have a dozen parts we’re coating and it’s been a huge spring board for our new coatings.” U.S. Chrome is headquartered in Stratford, CT. Reath has dedicated his life to U.S. Chrome and it is no secret that his passion also lies with racing. Reath and Stoddard have had a relationship since the late 1980’s when U.S. Chrome sponsored Dana Patten. Patten made one of his first of four NASCAR Sprint Cup starts in 1989 at Dover Downs International Speedway with Stoddard as the lead wrench and front tire changer. “I’m excited to have Bob and U.S. Chrome on board again at Dover,” said Stoddard. “He is a wonderful friend and I admire his passion for the sport.
