#47 JTG Daugherty Racing jackman Mike Klein was taken to the infield care center at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during Sunday’s race after another car clipped him on pit road. Klein was treated and released from the infield care center and went for further evaluation in the Charlotte area on Monday afternoon [no word on the outcome]. “I went to the doctor this morning,” Klein said. “It’s a cracked heel, but it is a non-weight bearing spot so it will heal on its own. I’m getting a MRI this afternoon [Monday] just to make sure there is no damage to my Achilles tendon. Both Jimmie Johnson [the driver who hit Klein] and [#47 driver] Bobby Labonte called me this morning to check on me. That shows a lot of character. I’m looking forward to being back at Pocono this weekend.”()(8-2-2011)
