Parker Kligerman has made his final start for the Brad Keselowski Racing NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, and hopes to have a new ride in time for the series’ next race at Michigan International Speedway on August 18. BKR spokesman Tony Caponigro confirmed the change today, saying, “Parker will not be in the #29 Truck at Michigan. What happens beyond that is still being discussing internally, but my understanding is that he will probably be looking for a new ride going forward.” Kligerman finished seventh in Saturday’s Pocono Mountains 125 at Pocono Raceway and is currently sixth in points, 35 behind leader Timothy Peters. He recently had his part-time schedule of Nationwide Series races trimmed by Penske Racing in favor of youngster Ryan Blaney, however, and said both he and Keselowski have been unhappy with the recent direction of the #29 team. He hinted that a change is imminent last weekend when he tweeted, “I’ve enjoyed the last year and a half. Things you’ll see soon, r 4 the better 4 everyone!” Kligerman said there is no truth to rumors that he was fired for talking to other teams. Kligerman said he appreciates everything Keselowski and Penske have done for him, and thanked them for their support. He also promised to be back on track with a new team at MIS in two weeks, saying, “I hope to have something to announce by the end of today, or tomorrow at the latest. I’m ready to move forward.”(GodfatherMotorsports.com)(8-6-2012)

UPDATE 2: Red Horse Racing announced Thursday morning the addition of Parker Kligerman to the organization’s driver lineup. Kligerman will make his first appearance in the #7 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra next Saturday at Michigan International Speedway for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series VFW 200. Since making his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series appearance in 2010, Kligerman has posted six top-five and 16 top-10 finishes in 37 career starts. The 22-year-old currently sits sixth in the NCWTS championship point standings, 35 markers behind leader and teammate, Timothy Peters. Chad Kendrick, who led the #7 Tundra team to victory in the season-opening NCWTS event at Daytona, will call the shots for Kligerman. Kendrick, in the midst of his fourth year in the crew chief position, first came to Red Horse Racing in 2009 with Timothy Peters and collected one win, five top-five and 13 top-10 finishes that year. UPDATE 3: Kligerman will have a full schedule behind the wheel ahead of him at Michigan this weekend as he makes his first start for Red Horse Racing. Aside from his inaugural run in the #7 Tundra for the NCWTS event, Kligerman will also fill in during NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and qualifying in the #22 [Sam Hornish] Penske Racing machine. Kligerman was scheduled for this fill in position prior to signing with Red Horse this week. “I’ve done a lot of testing in the cup car before so it should be a seamless transition. Aside from having little time between practice sessions, there should be no issues with the schedule. I’m a professional race car driver and my job at the end of the day is just worry about driving as fast as possible, so that’s what I’m going to do,” said Kligerman.(RHR PR)(8-13-2012)
