Weather could be an issue Friday at Las Vegas Motors Speedway. The Weather Channel calls for a 60% chance of rain with a high temperature of 55 degrees. The hourly forecast calls for the greatest chance of rain coming in the moring, with the odds decreasing in the afternoon. Cup practice is scheduled to start at 9:00 Las Vegas time (noon/et) and qualifying is set for 3:40 local time (6:40pm/et). NASCAR nearly had the track dry before the rain resumed. A revised schedule has not been announced, but its expected Nationwide Series will practice first, once the track is dry.
