The victory at Dover was #24-Jeff Gordon’s 450th top-10 finish during his 22-year Sprint Cup career. The driver of the #24 Drive to End Hunger Chevy is third all-time in that statistical category, three behind Mark Martin (453) and 262 behind Richard Petty (712). Gordon has collected a series-best 19 this season. Although Gordon ranks third all-time with 76 career pole positions, Kansas Speedway is one of four tracks where Gordon has yet to win a pole position. Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway are the other venues where Gordon has never won a pole position.(HMS)(10-1-2014)
