NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Carl Long continues a relationship started more than a dozen years ago, with Jaret’s Angels, a family support team, and JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, featured prominently on his #13 Dodge entry for next weekend’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jaret’s Angels was formed in 2001, just months after Charlotte resident Jaret Arneson was diagnosed with T1D at the age of two. A year later, Long and his team carried the Jaret’s Angels logo on the hood of multiple entries, also carrying JDRF messaging in support of the Charlotte-area Walks to Cure Diabetes. Just last month, the Angels completed their 16th Walk in 15 years, with a 15-year total of nearly $155,000 raised for JDRF and research toward a cure for type 1 diabetes. urning 17 later this year, Jaret has participated in several high-profile events, raising awareness for Type 1 Diabetes and the efforts of the JDRF. JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.(Carl Long Motorsports)(5-15-2015)
