The 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine, featuring 17 drivers from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, has been rescheduled for Oct. 17-19. The annual event, originally scheduled for this week, was moved due to the impact of Hurricane Matthew. Participants will take part in a physical fitness assessment at Bethune-Cookman University on Oct. 17, followed by on-track tryouts at New Smyrna Speedway on Oct. 18-19.There are 13 female drivers competing for spots with Rev Racing this year, including Hailie Deegan, daughter of Brian Deegan, the most decorated athlete in freestyle motocross history, and Hope Hornish, the niece of 2006 Indianapolis 500 winner and current NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Sam Hornish Jr. NASCAR Drive for Diversity has proven successful in identifying and developing future stars of the sport.(NASCAR)
