Axalta, Hendrick extend partnership: Axalta (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, and 12-time NASCAR Cup Series champions Hendrick Motorsports have agreed to a four-year contract extension that will take one of the most enduring sponsorships in NASCAR through 2022. Beginning in 2018 and throughout the new 2019-2022 agreement, Axalta will be featured as a 25-race primary sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports’ Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 teams competing in the Cup Series. Over the next two years, Axalta will be a primary sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports drivers Alex Bowman (15 races in 2018 and 12 races in 2019) and William Byron (10 races in 2018 and 13 races in 2019). Richard Childress Racing and eBay Motors team up for 2018: Richard Childress Racing is joining forces with eBay Motors for its 2018 NASCAR marketing campaign by providing compelling feature content and vignettes featuring the No. 31 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup team to appear on FOX broadcasts. PNC Bank becomes Official Bank of NASCAR with five-year agreement: NASCAR and PNC Bank today announced a five-year agreement that introduces the bank as the “Official Bank of NASCAR®” and “Official Wealth Management Partner of NASCAR®.” The agreement provides PNC exclusive status and promotional rights around retail, corporate and private banking across the country and U.S. military bases abroad. PNC will be present at key NASCAR races throughout each season and offer its services to the industry, providing valuable insights to drivers, teams, tracks and sponsors. Auto Club XFINITY tv ratings: The NASCAR Xfinity Series from Fontana (Ca.) had a 0.75 rating and 1.2 million viewers on FS1 Saturday, down 19% in ratings and viewership from last year (0.93, 1.460M) and down 23% and 19% respectively from 2016 (0.98, 1.459M). Mirroring the trend for this year’s Cup Series races, every NASCAR Xfinity Series telecast this season has declined double-digits to a multi-year low.[More](3-23-2018)
