- Rush Out: Lonnie Rush Jr. was released as the driver of the #75 Spears Manufacturing Chevy truck after the Memphis race. After the race, Spears’ team coordinator Al Hoffman informed Rush that he had been released for the ride. Initially, Rush was told the team would suspend activities and not compete this weekend at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, CO. Reports now indicate the team may resurface in the Pikes Peak event with Marty Houston as the driver(TNN Motorsports Site)(5-10-1999)
