- IncredibleBank Joins Go Fas Racing for 2017 Season Go Fas Racing announced that IncredibleBank will be joining Matt DiBenedetto and the #32 team as a primary sponsor for multiple races in the 2017 season. The IncredibleBank racecar will first run at Kansas Speedway this weekend and will have more dates to be announced. IncredibleBank, a division of River Valley Bank, opened in 2009 as one of the earlyinternet-only banks. They’ve been called one of the “least evil banks” and “still awesome” by CNN. - Busch to run a M&M’s Red Nose scheme at Kansas again: To join in on the Red Nose Day fun, Kyle Busch and his #18 M&M’S Toyota will feature the aforementioned special Red Nose Day paint scheme in Saturday night’s race. - Different tire compound being tested at Kentucky: Goodyear officials will look to do more than verify the tire package for this year’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway when they hold a two-day test Tuesday and Wednesday at the 1.5-mile track. “We’ve also got some things to try to actually promote a little more wear on a repaved surface, which is something we haven’t been able to do,” Greg Stucker, director of race tire sales for Goodyear, told NASCAR.com on Sunday. “The guys have kind of taken a different approach on compound formulation to see if we can’t actually generate some wear on what we project to be a fairly smooth surface.” Testing at Kentucky are #1-Jamie McMurray (CGR), #3-Austin Dillon (RCR), #41-Kurt Busch (SHR) and #77-Erik Jones (FRR).(NASCAR.com)[click to continue](5-10-2017)
- Jack Roush Scores Record-Extending 324th NASCAR Win at Talladega: In Jack Roush’s 30 years of NASCAR racing, his teams have covered over 1.78 million miles on the track, but none more dramatic than the final 2.66 miles in yesterday’s Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway. Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s dramatic come-from-behind win from the pole at Talladega, marked Roush Fenway’s record-extending 324th win in NASCAR’s three premiere series. Stenhouse became the ninth driver to win for Jack Roush in the Cup series. Overall, 19 different drivers have driven Roush Fenway Fords to victory lane in NASCAR action. - Daniel Suárez and #19 Stanley Team Race for a Miracle This Weekend This weekend at Kansas Speedway, every driver will be racing for a win. But Daniel Suárez and the #19 Stanley Toyota Camry team, are racing for much more – $1 Million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). This exciting opportunity is a big part of Stanley’s Annual “Racing for a Miracle” campaign in partnership with CMN Hospitals and the Ace Hardware Foundation. If Suárez wins, Stanley Black & Decker will donate $1 Million to CMN Hospitals through the Ace Hardware Foundation. The “Racing for a Miracle” program with Stanley and the Ace Hardware Foundation will once again pledge $100,000 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s a total contribution of more than one million dollars since the program started to help member hospitals and local children. As the most successful and longest-running campaign of its kind, it’s safe to say that all eyes will be on Suárez this weekend.
On Thursday, Suárez will tour the local Pediatrics Unit at The University of Kansas Health System, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, and meet many of the young patients admitted there. While visiting, Suárez and representatives from Stanley, will present the $100,000 donation to CMN Hospitals on behalf of the Ace Hardware Foundation. The team will also unveil the paint scheme that will run this weekend on the #19 Stanley Toyota. The paint scheme includes names of one child from each state who represents Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, as well as four very special children who will serve as “Honorary Pit Crew Members” of the #19 team throughout the weekend.
