Keselowski is one of the biggest questions for 2021. He’s been rumored to be under consideration to replace Jimmie Johnson at Hendrick. Team Penske would like to keep him as a driver, but like most teams, are looking to restructure driver contracts to save money.
Should Keselowski leave, this would be a high profile opportunity for another driver.  Austin Cindric could be the favorite due to his connection with the team and support from Ford, but sponsors could want a more established driver and Ryan Blaney could shift to this car or someone like Matt DiBenedetto could move here.

Erik Jones is looking like the most likely driver to take over the ride.(10-15-2020)
Suarez will not return to Gaunt Brothers and could be a natural fit here by bringing sponsorship.(9-15-2020)
Ty Dillon could be a candidate for this ride. Germain Racing’s future is uncertain, and Richard Petty Motorsports works off the campus of Richard Childress Racing.
Wallace has informed the team that he will not return in 2021.(9-10-2021).
There’s been some speculation that Toyota could make an effort to have RPM join them next season with Leavine Family Racing closing, but that does not look likely with only one year remaining before the Next Gen car debuts.

(2023) Best Friends Animal Society

Bowman has signed a two year contract extension to stay with the team through 2023.(6-18-2021)
Best Friends Animal Society joins Bowman beginning at Phoenix.(3-4-21)
Alex Bowman will move from the #88 to the #48.  Greg Ives will continue to be his crew chief.(10-6-2020)
Hendrick has confirmed that he will continue to operate four teams.
The team has full season sponsorship from Ally and they will have a lot of input on the driver.
One scenario mentioned is Hendrick moving Alex Bowman to the #48 and closing the #88 team (or bringing on a funded driver for the #88). The odds of Hendrick shrinking to three teams in minimal due to manufacturer contracts.
If Hendrick has take a funded driver on to close a sponsorship gap for next season, then this ride become a bidding war to see who takes over.  In that scenario, the driver would likely end up driving the #88.
Just about every driver with a contact ending (and some without) has been speculated to be interested in the ride.
