#45-Tyler Reddick won the Straight Talk Wireless 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The win is his 3rd win of the year, 1st at Homestead and 8th career win.
#12-Ryan Blaney finished 2nd followed by #11-Denny Hamlin, #20-Christopher Bell, #9-Chase Elliott, #24-William Byron, #48-Alex Bowman, #16-A.J. Allmendinger, #77-Carson Hocevar, and #41-Ryan Preece.
Reddick started the race from the pole and ran up front for much of the race. During the final stage, and stuck in traffic, he decided to stay out longer than the rest of the playoff drivers and hope for a caution. He had to pit for fuel with 15 laps remaining but the caution came out two laps later when Larson spun out battling Blaney for the lead. The leaders came down pit road for service and Reddick stayed out to take the lead. The final green flag flew with seven laps remaining. Hamlin took the lead until the white flag, when Blaney got the lead. Reddick took the lead from Blaney going into turn 4 on the final lap.
Stage 1 was won by #45-Tyler Reddick. Stage 2 was won by #11-Denny Hamlin.
There were 33 lead changes among 11 drivers and 6 cautions for 30 yellow flag laps.
