For the second consecutive season #9-Shane van Gisbergen won The Loop 110 Xfinity Series race at the Chicago Street Course. This is his fourth career victory, and he has victories at Chicago in either the Cup or Xfinity Series all three seasons that NASCAR has raced on the city streets.
#88-Connor Zilisch finished runner-up after starting the race at the rear of the field. Van Gisbergen, who led a race-high 27 laps, ran Zilisch wide through Turn 1 on a restart with two laps remaining to take the lead for the final time.
#00-Sheldon Creed finished third after winning Stage 2. #21-Austin Hill and Atlanta winner #48-Nick Sanchez rounded out the top five. #2-Jesse Love, #8-Sammy Smith, #41-Sam Mayer, #32-Austin Green and #44-Brennan Poole filled out the rest of the top 10.
There were four lead changes among four drivers and six cautions for 18 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 58.999 mph.

Race Updates:
Lap 50: #9-van Gisbergen holds on for the victory. #88-Zilisch, #00-Creed, #21-Hill, #48-Sanchez, #2-Love, #8-Smith, #41-Mayer, #32-Green and #44-Poole complete the top 10.
Lap 48: #9-van Gisbergen drives #88-Zilisch wide on the exit of Turn 1 to take the lead.
Lap 46: #7-Allgaier pits for the team to look at the brake issues.
Lap 44: #35-Castro is stuck in the Turn 6 tire barriers to bring out the caution.
Lap 43: #9-van Gisbergen ran the fastest lap of the day and closed eight-tenths of a second on race leader #88-Zilisch.
Lap 42: #7-Allgaier is limping around the track believing to have lost brakes.
Lap 41: #9-van Gisbergen passes #00-Creed for second position and is just over three seconds off the lead.
Lap 40: #9-van Gisbergen goes off line and takes third position from #21-Hill.

Lap 37: #88-Zilisch passes #21-Hill on the restart to take second position. Zilisch then passes #00-Creed to take the race lead entering Turn 6. #4-Retzlaff is turned between Turns 4 and 5 but is able to drive away.
Lap 34: #9-van Gisbergen makes a three-wide move entering Turn 4 and stuffs #70-Annunziata into the tire barrier. #54-Gray checked up to avoid the incident, but was hit by #27-Burton and piled in.
Lap 32: #27-Burton, #20-Jones and #1-Kvapil pit for fresh tires and fuel at the stage break.
Lap 30: #00-Creed wins Stage 2, his first stage victory of the season. #2-Love, #21-Hill, #88-Zilisch, #8-Smith, #27-Burton, #11-Williams, #7-Allgaier, #20-Jones and #70-Annunziata earn stage points.
Lap 28: #00-Creed passes #2-Love on the restart to take the lead. #21-Hill slides into third position. #88-Zilisch has moved up to fourth, passing #27-Burton. #9-van Gisbergen gained four spots in the opening lap of the restart to 15th.
Lap 26: #9-van Gisbergen, #50-Pardus and #16-Eckes lead a host of others down pit road. #91-Bilicki is stalled on track with his car catching fire.
Lap 24: Caution is out for a tire carcass laying on the track from #99-DiBenedetto.
Lap 23: #99-DiBenedetto is nose deep into the Turn 1 tire barriers and has a flat tire.
Lap 21: #50-Pardus and #70-Annunziata are having solid days, cracking the top 10. #9-van Gisbergen has scooted out to a 6.5-second lead.
Lap 18: #9-van Gisbergen holds the lead on restart. #2-Love gains two positions to move to the runner-up spot.
Lap 16: The bulk of the field pits, though race leader #9-van Gisbergen stays out on track. #27-Burton and #16-Eckes also elected to stay out. #00-Creed is the first off pit road, with #25-Burton gaining a handful of positions.
Lap 15: #9-van Gisbergen leads every lap in Stage 1 to score the stage victory. #00-Creed, #21-Hill, #41-Mayer, #48-Sanchez, #7-Allgaier, #8-Smith, #88-Zilisch, #1-Kvapil and #07-Labbe earn stage points. 
Lap 13: #45-Perez spins into the tire barriers in Turn 4 to bring out the caution.

Lap 7: #18-Sawalich is stalled on the track under caution with an electrical fire inside the cockpit. #20-Jones has been black flagged for not having any communication with his crew.
Lap 4: #8-Smith bumped 19-Perkins entering Turn 6 and spun into the tire barriers in Turn 6 and is turned in the wrong direction to bring out the caution. #88-Zilisch bumped #70-Annunziata out of the way on his mission through the field. #39-Sieg made an unscheduled pit stop.
Lap 2: #00-Creed and #9-van Gisbergen swap the lead back and forth through Turns 7 and 8 with Creed being pinched into the outside wall.
Lap 1: #9-van Gisbergen leads the opening laps. #00-Creed got the jump on #21-Hill at the green flag to take second position.
4:45pm/et: With multiple cars jumbled, NASCAR has added an additional pace lap.
4:43pm/et: Multiple teams had radio issues during the pace laps. #21-Hill had the biggest challenge, but can now hear his team.

Chicago Street Course expert #9-Shane van Gisbergen won the pole for The Loop 110 Xfinity Series. It’s his second pole in as many tries at Chicago, running a speed of 87.917 mph.
#21-Austin Hill will start alongside on the front row (87.662 mph). Four-time road course winner #41-Sam Mayer will start third (87.158 mph), with #00-Sheldon Creed (87.120 mph) and #19-Jack Perkins (87.105 mph) rounding out the top five.
Regular season championship leader #7-Justin Allgaier will start sixth, with #18-William Sawalich, #48-Nick Sanchez, #2-Jesse Love and #8-Sammy Smith filling the top 10.

Notes: In the opening minutes of the session, #42-Anthony Alfredo stopped on the track with a fluid leak. Later in the session rookies #16-Christian Eckes and #54-Taylor Gray both wrecked. Eckes overshot Turn 6 and clobbered the wall. Gray wrecked in Turn 4 and made heavy contact with the wall. With under 15 minutes remaining, Zilisch made a mistake entering Turn 2 and hit the tire barriers. With 10 minutes remaining, #53-Sage Karam had an oil pump break and limped back around the track with smoke billowing from his car. Another caution flew in the waning minutes of the session for debris from #70-Thomas Annunziata between Turns 11 and 12. #39-Ryan Sieg never turned a lap.
