In a race that was filled with inclement weather, and ultimately called official at the conclusion of Stage 2 due to heavy fog and mist, #9-Ross Chastain won the Charbroil 300 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s his third career victory and first at Charlotte.
Richard Childress Racing drivers #2-Jesse Love and #21-Austin Hill were both in contention for the duration of the race, finishing second and third. #18-William Sawalich and #17-Corey Day round out the top five.
#1-Connor Zilisch, #39-Ryan Sieg, #0-Cole Custer, #91-Carson Kvapil and #88-Rajah Caruth filled out the rest of the top 10.
#1-Zilisch won the opening stage, which included a red flag of 4 hours, 21 minutes and 59 seconds. The race was concluded at the end of Stage 2 when a second red flag was waved.
There were 14 lead changes among seven drivers and six cautions for 54 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 159.480 mph.

Goodyear Tire Notes: Teams in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will run a new right-side tire this weekend featuring an updated construction, paired with the same left-side tire used in recent weeks at Las Vegas, Kansas and Texas. As is standard on tracks one mile and longer, the 15-inch tires will also feature inner liners.
