Sweeping all three stages, #17-William Byron won the BetMGM 300 Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He rebounded from a speeding penalty at the end of Stage 2 and made a pass coming to the white flag in overtime to take the lead for the final time. It’s his first win since 2017, though he made just 10 starts since then.
Rookie #88-Connor Zilisch finished runner-up and placed inside the top three in all three stages. #48-Nick Sanchez earned the best finish of his rookie season in third. #7-Justin Allgaier led a race-high 103 laps but dropped to fourth on older tires during an overtime restart. #26-Dean Thompson was credited with a career best fifth-place finish after #8-Sammy Smith was disqualified for not meeting minimum weight.
#11-Josh Williams scored his best finish of sixth with Kaulig Racing. #21-Austin Hill, #71-Ryan Ellis, #16-Christian Eckes and #00-Sheldon Creed completed the top 10. The eighth-place finish for Ellis is his first top 10 in 176 NASCAR national series starts.
There were 10 lead changes among five drivers and 10 cautions for 52 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 110.248 mph.

This will be the 80th NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte, it has been on the schedule every season since 1982 (two races a season from 1982-2016, one per season since 2017).
Twelve different drivers won the last 12 Xfinity Series Charlotte races, the longest ever streak at the track – Austin Dillon swept in 2015.
