Chase Elliott to have a new spotter in 2024 UPDATES

UPDATE 2:  Trey Poole has been named the full-time spotter for Chase Elliott and the No. 9 Chevrolet throughout the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, Hendrick Motorsports confirmed Tuesday.

Poole, a cousin of Elliott, has previously served as a second spotter for the No. 9 team at road courses and fulfilled the primary role on an interim basis back in 2021.

UPDATE 12-19-2023: Stewart-Haas Racing announced Tuesday morning that Eddie D’Hondt will serve as spotter for #4-Josh Berry in 2024.

ORIGINAL POST 12-3-2023: Long time series spotter Eddie D’Hondt shared that after 12 seasons, he will not return to the role in 2024 for Chase Elliott at Hendrick Motorsports.

“468 races together, 26 wins, and a championship,” he noted, though he did not announce which team or driver he may be working with next season.
