Parker Kligerman wins Xfinity Series race at Daytona in relief of Connor Zilisch: The record book will list Connor Zilisch as the winner of the Wawa 250 Presented by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway. #88-Connor Zilisch gets credit for winning the Wawa 250 Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway, though Parker Kligerman hopped in the car at Lap 13. It’s the first time a relief driver was utilized in a race-winning entry since Milwaukee in 2007. This is Zilisch’s seventh victory of the season, capturing the checkered flag in five of the last six races overall.
JR Motorsports placed first through third, with #8-Sammy Smith (Stage 1 winner) and #7-Justin Allgaier (Stage 2 winner) rounding out the podium. #2-Jesse Love and #41-Sam Mayer filled out the rest of the top five.
#20-Brandon Jones, #26-Dean Thompson, #14-Garrett Smithley, #44-Brennan Poole and #1-Carson Kvapil complete the top 10.
There were 22 lead changes among 10 drivers and seven cautions for 39 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 115.157 mph.

Lap 104: #88-Kligerman scores the win, though Zilisch will get credit for the victory by starting the race. #8-Smith, #7-Allgaier, #2-Love and #41-Mayer are the top five.
Lap 103: Massive wreck entering Turn 3 and 4, started with contact from #21-Hill and #48-Sanchez. Hill spins into #14-Smithley, with a load of cars piling in. The caution flies with #88-Kligerman out front.
Lap 102: #70-Honeyman tries making it three wide and gets shuffled out of the pack. #88-Kligerman leads #7-Allgaier and #8-Smith.

Lap 21: The red flag is out for rain. The cars were brought to pit road and remained doubled up.
Lap 20: The caution has been extended by an additional lap for rain. #88-Kligerman has pitted multiple times to top off with fuel.
Lap 19: #41-Mayer picks the top lane for the restart, giving #8-Smith the bottom. Three JR Motorsports cars are lined up on the bottom with #7-Allgaier and #1-Kvapil behind.
Lap 16: #2-Love, #48-Sanchez, #44-Poole, #91-Bilicki and #35-Maggio pit for adjustments.
Lap 14: #4-Retzlaff pits for the Alpha Prime team to go under the hood.
Lap 13: #88-Zilisch pits with pit road closed in order for Kligerman to hop aboard.

Lap 7: The majority of the field runs side-by-side. #8-Smith is towing the bottom line with #41-Mayer pulling the top. #7-Allgaier and #20-Jones are in line behind Smith. #21-Hill and #1-Kvapil are on top behind Mayer.
Lap 4: #48-Sacnehez darted to the bottom on the backstretch, making a three-wide move to crack the top 10.
Lap 1: #8-Smith leads the opening lap, side-by-side with #41-Mayer.

Pit-Stall Selections

Qualifying for the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway was canceled due to lightning. The starting lineup will be set per the rule book, basing it off the previous race’s metric. Fifteen cars made a qualifying run before lightning stuck within an eight-mile radius of the race track.
#88-Connor Zilisch will start from the pole with Parker Kligerman on standby after Zilisch broke his collarbone in Victory Lane at Watkins Glen International. Zilisch has alluded to possibly exiting the car following the opening stage.
#41-Sam Mayer, #8-Sammy Smith, #21-Austin Hill and #7-Justin Allgaier round out the top five. #1-Carson Kvapil, #20-Brandon Jones, #25-Harrison Burton, #16-Christian Eckes and #2-Jesse Love complete the top 10.
